Funchal Jazz Festival

Lovers of jazz know that, in July, the Funchal Jazz Festival is an event not to be missed. This event was first held in 2000 and since then, has promoted artists such as Dianne Reeves, Chick Corea, Esperanza Spalding, Arturo Sandoval, Al di Meola and Cassandra Wilson.

The Festival guarantees unforgettable nights in one of the most iconic city gardens: the park of Santa Catarina which has a view of the amphitheatre of the city and provides an intimate and engaging environment with the surrounding landscape. This is one of the most important cultural events on Madeira’s agenda.
