Regional Meeting of RAM Philharmonic Bands

This annual meeting was been held since 1983. It came about to promote and preserve the philharmonic music and publicize the work of the philharmonic bands, some of which are centuries old.

The Regional Meeting of Philharmonic Bands, organized by the Government of Madeira, allows the lesser known repertoire of philharmonic music to come into the public domain in a relaxed environment.

These associations are not profit oriented and they often perform, contributing to cultural enrichment.
