Madeira Theme Park

With its 145 000 m2, it can be said that the Madeira Theme Park is a unique exhibition space. The complex, which is located in Santana in the north of Madeira, features several attractions where you can learn about the history of Madeira in a fun environment and in close contact with nature.

In this space, visitors can choose from several themed exhibits. Among them is a simulator that depicts the discovery of the island, a 'zoom-in-zoom-out' circuit exploring local monuments and typical costumes such as the traditional wool hat with ears and a much bigger straw hat, a replica of the old Monte train that connects the various attractions, an oxen cart and a miniature lake with traditional Câmara de Lobos fishing boats that you can ride.

There are four multimedia pavilions that you can visit: the 'Discovery of the Islands', the 'Future of the Earth', the 'Fantastic Voyage through Madeira' and 'A world of islands, the islands of the World'. The Santana Theme Park provides fans of extreme sports an opportunity to practice slides, bungee jumping, and rock climbing, among other sports. If exercise whets your appetite, you can sample the local cuisine at one of several restaurants.

In the end, a walk through the gardens allows you to relax and observe species of flora endemic to Madeira. This cultural and scientific center also features a souvenir shop, if you want to recall the memory of this fantastic experience.
