Tabua
The smallest parish in the municipality of Ribeira Brava is only 11.10 km2 and owes its name to a plant used to manufacture straw mats and chairs seats.
Established in the latter half of the sixteenth century, Tabua is crossed by a river, in the north-south direction, which flows into its small seafront.
In this predominantly agricultural parish, you can visit several monuments of religious nature such as the Church of Santíssima Trindade, the Chapel of Mãe de Deus and the Chapels of Nossa Senhora das Candeias, Corujeira, Candelaria, Lugar da Serra, and Conceição.
