Boat trip - Dolphin & Whale Watching

Why not see the island of Madeira during a wonderful boat ride along the seafront? As there is plenty on offer, choosing will not be as easy because there are endless local attractions.

Relax aboard a vessel and enjoy watching the migratory whales, or take a dip in the Atlantic and let yourself float with dolphins. If you prefer, visit the Desert Islands which are a group of three islands that make up the Madeira Natural Park which have been a set of protected areas since 1990. Appreciate the rare and equally beautiful birds. You may even be lucky enough to spot a lobo marinho (fur seal), a protected and very dear species in Madeira.

If you would like to go back in time to the Discoveries by taking a trip on a 15th century vessel, then embark on the Santa Maria de Colombo. This full-size replica of the ship, that transported the discoverer Cristóvão Colombo when he discovered America, will take you to the fantastic Fajã do Cabo Girão where you can go for a dip. There is also the option of a romantic ride down the coast of Madeira, aboard a sailboat. Choose what best suits you and sail on!
