Quinta da Junta Garden - Madeira Island
The Quinta da Junta Garden is a public park, owned by the Regional Government of Madeira, which is part of the Manor with the same name, once owned by the Blandy family.
The flora in this garden is very wide. Here we can find camellias, lauraceae, endemic plants of the region and some species of mushrooms. Enjoy the beautiful view over the valley of Machico. This park attracts plenty of visitors because it has a mini-zoo with various animals.
The Garden of Quinta da Junta is located on the site of Casais Próximos, in the parish of Santo da Serra which is a land of golf and fine estates, with a predominant green landscape and great restaurants. This parish is also known for the production of the cider that is a drink made of juice of crushed apples with wood stomps and fermented in wooden casks.
The fantastic golf course with its 27 holes, all characterized by generous "fairways" and "greens" and a magnificent view of the mountains and the sea, is sought for international tournaments of Golf.
